Safely Accessing the Dark Web For Law Enforcement

While the Dark Web might be home to a wealth of valuable investigative information, it is also notorious for being incredibly dangerous. The Dark Web is not a place to visit or investigate without a solid understanding of how it works and how to safely access it. This class will teach students how to access the Dark Web in the safest manner possible without exposing your identity or compromising your investigation. Seating is limited to thirty-five students for this class and this will be the only presentation of this class for 2018. The student will be provided all materials for the class.

Computers will be provided for the students use during the class.

Online Photo and Video for Law Enforcement Investigations

Over one billion pictures and videos are uploaded to social networking sites and mobile apps daily. These images and videos are proving to be the perfect crime-solving partners. What are you doing to capture and preserve this information? This new course for 2017 covers all aspects that law enforcement will encounter while working with online photos and videos. This course is limited to 50 students. Computers will be provided for each student during the training and each student will be provided a USB  to keep containing all the software presented in the class.

Cyber-Crime, Social Networking and OSINT Investigative Training

Location: Broward College Institute of Public Safety

5-day hands-on course contains new and innovative cyber crime investigation methodology and techniques and is designed specifically for law enforcement personnel and those in direct support of law enforcement. Due to the sensitivity of this training, it is not available to the general public. Although this is an advanced level course, it will be presented from a law enforcement point of view. This will benefit those experienced (but non-technical) investigators wishing to attend. Investigators engaged in any aspect of cyber-crime will benefit greatly from this course. This course is limited to 30 students. Computers & Wi-Fi will be provided for each student during the training.

Hosted By: Broward College Institute of Public Safety and the Florida Intelligence Unit.

Students will be provided with all course materials and programs.

Social Media and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Research and Investigation Course at the Broward College Institute of Public Safety

Location: Broward College

Dataveillance will be presenting a two-day Social Media Research & Investigation Course at Broward College Institute of Public Safety.

This course is open to Florida Certified Law Enforcement officers, corrections officers or qualified support staff for mandatory and salary incentive credit as defined in Florida Criminal Justice Standards Training Commission Rule 11B-35.006. Priority is given to Region XIII officers. Out-of-region officers will be put on a waiting list and will be added to the class if space is available. To register for this course, officers must coordinate seating through their agency’s training department.
